Site and Facilities

An extensive survey of possible sites for VERITAS in the vicinity of the Whipple Observatory was made in 1998. Two attractive sites were studied by a local architectural firm and application has been made to the Forestry Service for either of these sites. Figure 21 shows the location of the selected sites relative to the observatory. These sites were selected because they are:
